Wellness Center

Protecting you is our top priority

The UIC Wellness Center considers your on-campus health and the use of COVID-19 safety practices as our top priority.  Your health is achieved through a community effort dedicated to cooperation and mutual support. Consider us your partner in this effort and remember that we are here for you.

As the regulations regarding the Pandemic continue to evolve, the Wellness Center’s protective practices will continue to adhere to guidelines set forth by UIC administrators.  Subsequently, the Safety Protocols used in the Wellness Center reception area, small in-person programs, workshops, Wellness Coaching Consultations, and the UIC Pop-Up Pantry are based on expert advice and rely on the cooperative effort of all office visitors and student program attendees.

COVID-19 Protocols for wellness center and students/visitors

Face masks continue to be required by UIC, for use indoors.  This includes the UIC Pop-Up Pantry.  In compliance with this rule, masks will be worn by Wellness Center staff throughout all interactions with students attending a program or visiting the Center.  Hand sanitizer dispensers will be stationed in the Wellness Center and the UIC Pop-Up Pantry.

All in-person programs hosted by the Wellness Center will be small to medium size groups of students that combine safety with fun activities.  Staff will wipe down surfaces in these programs regularly and students will have the ability to protect their own health and wipe down surfaces again as they see fit.   Most activity items will only be used by one student and then taken home.  For those items that would be used by multiple students, wipes will be available for students and staff to clean items after each use.

We are happy to see students back on campus or learning remotely.  Regardless of how you choice to learn, you will continue to receive the same warm, caring, and committed service from Wellness Center staff.

The Wellness Center is happy to provide services using a hybrid format.  You can choice to interact with staff and services in a way that you are the most comfortable: in-person, online, email, phone, or Zoom. Students are invited to call, email, or drop into the Center with their questions, to set up a Wellness Coaching session, to set up an in-person or Zoom workshop or to ask for more information about our services and programs.  Students are also invited to visit our website, where new lifestyle and academic success tips, are featured weekly. All students and visitors are asked to wear facial masks throughout the duration of their visit to the Wellness Center or while attending one of its programs.  We ask students and visitors to be a part of this community of safety and thank you for your cooperation.
