The Health and Well-being team in Student Affairs believes that an individual’s health and overall well-being are critical components to both their academic and personal success, and that universities play essential roles in creating communities of care and support for both students and employees. In embracing the spirit of holistic well-being and the collective mission to foster a vibrant, thriving, supportive, and health promoting community, we are excited to announce Wellness Week taking place from October 31st to November 4th. This campus-wide initiative will be a collection of activities and events hosted by various campus units, organizations, and academic colleges. Each will be grounded in one or more of the eight dimensions of wellness, as we recognize that the interconnectedness of these areas shape a fulfilling, healthy, and balanced life.

1. Highlighting How Health and Well-being Manifest Across Disciplines
2. Promoting Holistic Health
3. Creating a Culture of Compassion, Well-being, Equity, and Social Justice
4. Strengthening the Ecological, Social, and Economic Sustainability of Our Community
5. Enhancing Resilience

6. Encouraging Healthy Lifestyles
7. Promoting Inclusivity
8. Community Building
9. Improving Academic Performance
10. Fostering Long-term Lifestyle Changes

By supporting these eight dimensions of well-being, we aim to empower our university community to lead balanced, fulfilling lives, fostering a culture where everyone’s well-being is not just a goal but a way of life. Through this holistic approach, we endeavor to create an environment where students, faculty, and staff thrive, not just academically or professionally, but as whole, healthy human beings.
