New Student Orientation
- All mandatory parts of first-year and transfer orientation are happening virtually. Please visit orientation.uic.edu and click on Summer Orientation 2021 for specific info about these sessions.

- All mandatory programming will remain virtual through the first day of Fall 2021 semester

- We will have limited staffing (50% or less)
- All offices and workspaces will be individual use
- Personal PPE and protective/safety equipment has been ordered
- Masks, face shields, gloves
- Sanitizing stations
- Plexiglass shields for front desk operations
- Conference Room and common workspaces will be set to ensure social distancing, and will only be used for internal purposes (no outside meetings or events)
- Staff will follow university guidelines for cleaning and sanitization of personal and common workspaces.

I’m a new student and I still need to complete orientation/academic advising, should I come to campus?
No, all orientation, academic advising, and registration programming and assistance is happening virtually. Students should refer to the communications sent by New Student and Family Programs about the online orientation, academic advising/course recommendations, and course registration processes/procedures.
