Project Management
Introduction
Project management within the Office of Student Affairs Assessment and Planning provides structured support to help Student Affairs units move from insight to action. This function focuses on two key areas: supporting units after external program reviews and facilitating the launch of cross-functional initiatives.
Following an external review, units often receive a set of recommendations that can be complex and wide-ranging. While the Planning team does not implement these recommendations, we offer project management tools and consultation to help units prioritize next steps, identify potential barriers, and develop realistic timelines. This support empowers units to make informed decisions about which recommendations to pursue and how to approach implementation strategically.
In addition, the Planning team supports the early stages of unique or collaborative initiatives that extend beyond the scope of a single unit. We provide coordination, structure, and momentum to help these efforts take root. Once an initiative is successfully launched, it is transitioned to the appropriate Student Affairs unit for long-term management. This approach has supported the development of programs such as the Curricular Approach, Special Funded Projects, CCAMPIS Grant, Program Review Implementation, U&I Care Meals, and U&I Care Roundup
