Grant Support

Grant Support within the Office of Student Affairs Assessment and Planning plays a vital role in expanding the division’s capacity to serve students by securing external funding and resources. Led by the Senior Grant Writer, this function collaborates across all areas of Student Affairs to identify funding opportunities that align with divisional priorities and student needs.

We provide comprehensive support throughout the grant lifecycle—from identifying local, state, and national funding sources to developing proposals, coordinating with campus partners, and submitting competitive applications. In addition to traditional grants, we also assist with securing in-kind donations and cultivating community partnerships that enhance programmatic and operational capacity.

Our services are designed to help units conceptualize impactful projects, articulate measurable outcomes, and align proposals with both funder expectations and institutional goals. This support is especially valuable in addressing budget constraints, launching new initiatives, and sustaining innovative programs that might otherwise lack the necessary resources.

By leveraging external funding, we help Student Affairs units advance research, pilot new services, and scale successful programs—ultimately enriching the student experience and promoting equity, access, and success across campus.
