Assessment Cycle

Assessment in Student Affairs is a continuous, circular process centered on the UIC mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Each unit develops specific goals aligned with divisional and university priorities, guiding the design of purposeful programs and services. These goals and outcomes are assessed throughout and at the end of the cycle using a variety of methods. Once data is collected, it is reviewed, interpreted, and shared to highlight key insights and lessons learned. These findings are then used to inform decisions, demonstrate student learning, and drive continuous improvement—ensuring that our work remains intentional, impactful, and aligned with our mission.
